"The NHERI Large High-Performance Outdoor Shake Table (LHPOST) experimental facility at UC San Diego is the largest facility of its kind in the United States and has the world’s largest payload capacity (20 MN). The LHPOST was built in 2002-2004 as a single degree of freedom (SDOF) system under the National Science Foundation's (NSF) Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation (NEES) program. Recently we submitted a proposal to NSF to secure funding to upgrade the LHPOST from its current SDOF configuration to a full six degrees of freedom (6-DOF) capability.
Grabowski Collaborative Consulting (GCC) was integral throughout the proposal preparation process. They provided project controls and scheduling expertise to facilitate the development of our detailed project execution plan. Gregory guided our project management process throughout the entire NSF review and revision of our project execution plan in response to that review. It was a pleasure working with Gregory and his team during our collaborative interactive planning meeting and daily status meetings. Through GCC, we learned a lot about the construction project management process. They were critical in helping us secure the NSF funding for this project."

Giant Magellan Telescope Organization
"The Giant Magellan Telescope Organization (GMTO) is a non-profit corporation, founded to build and operate the Giant Magellan Telescope (GMT), a ~25m optical telescope located at one of the world’s best observational sites in the Atacama region of the Chilean Andes. The GMT project includes the construction of a remote mountain-top “campus”, including roads, utilities and related infrastructure, as well as a variety of conventional and highly specialized technical buildings. The GMT project contracted with Grabowski Collaborative Consulting (GCC) to guide our engineering and procurement teams through the collaborative process of contracting construction management (CM) services for delivery of the GMT site infrastructure, telescope enclosure, and support facilities. Gregory guided our CM procurement team’s process from inception to award and initiation of the contract. Gregory’s collaborative and organizational skills, including providing team building leadership for the procurement process, organizing procurement meetings, drafting specialized procurement documentation, identifying and introducing potential vendors, supporting the source evaluation process, and finally guiding the integration of the GMT and CM teams, were absolutely critical to the successful completion of the construction management procurement process. The GMT project team was very fortunate to have secured the services of GCC, and we look forward to the next opportunity to engage with Gregory."

“Gregory has facilitated the strategic planning sessions for Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) Southern California Chapter for the past 2 years voluntarily. His communication and planning skills helped us to define more realistic and reasonable goals and to stay focused on those goals during the course of planning sessions and for the entire year. He made those one day meetings more fun and more effective!
I highly appreciate his high level of professionalism and the time that he dedicates to support the industry and our CMAA Chapter every year!

San Francisco General Hospital
"Gregory Grabowski was engaged through Jacobs Project Management Co to facilitate partnering at the onset of the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital Rebuild Project. The project was set up in an IPD-like format with contractor, 6 core subcontractors, AE Team, DPW, DPH, UCSF and Executive CM all engaged from the onset of the project. The Partnering facilitated by Gregory Grabowski created a common set of goals and the team was empowered to collaborate in this critical trauma center for the Bay Area. Eight years later the Project was completed on time, on budget and without claims and everyone attributes this success to establishing a collaborative partnership from the onset of the project - the Mission Statement developed in this session became a mantra for the Project.
Communications and partnering became an integral part for the success of this challenging $887.4M project that was erected on a constrained urban site within an existing Trauma center campus. The City & County of San Francisco now require partnering for all major projects. Gregory Grabowski was instrumental in setting the collaborative tone for this successful Project. The Mission Statement established in our partnering session 8 years ago was clearly accomplished:
Mission Statement: Working collaboratively, we commit to design and build the San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center within budget, on schedule and to the highest standards of quality and sustainability, for the benefit of the community.”
Jim Hall, Principal, West Region, Jacobs
“Gregory’s collaborative approach brings people together in the best interests of the project. His design and construction experience provides credible expertise to complex issues or conflicts, enabling the team to find the best cooperative solution to both contractual and non-contractual friction points.”

“I would especially like to commend your preparation and the follow up services you provided. The classes that you conducted have been extremely helpful towards improving the capability of our workforce ... These mission areas are very important to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and our customers that ultimately receive the benefit owning and operating the high performance facilities. Thank you very much.”

"Grabowski Collaborative Consulting helped our team uncover and focus on the root issues that blocked them from performing at the highest level. Greg’s unique approach allowed each individual to understand the impact of their role on the project and how to best influence the best project outcome for all involved."
